John Mayer announces ‘Sob Rock’ tour Grammy-winning artist John Mayer has announced a monumental 2022 tour across North America behind his brand new album ‘Sob Rock’. The 32-date outing kicks off February 17th in Albany and continues through April visiting most major markets including Philadelphia, New York, Washington DC, Toronto, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Tampa, Atlanta, Houston and Chicago. Prior to the tour, the singer will be hitting the road again with Dead & Company later in 2021 alongside Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti.
Mayer released his eighth studio album ‘Sob Rock’ on July 16th, 2021 via Columbia Records. The new album follows up 2017’s ‘The Search for Everything’ which reached #2 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Gold by the RIAA. Also in 2017, the singer-songwriter launched The Search for Everything World Tour which visited Europe and North America. Since beginning his career in 1998, Mayer has received a total of seven Grammy Awards from nineteen nominations while selling more than 20 million albums worldwide.
